you clearly have a very good grasp of the tactics and mechanics of GC, but you feel that you lose ground when the game is not fresh in your mind.
True expertise is evident in being able to pick up any game at any point and still make the best move. It's a well documented phenomenon -particularly with chess players. You might want to work on this. Games relying on long-term plans are flawed by the inability of opponents to follow your predictions. Trust me on this -I got a PhD studying this. Didn't make me any better at playing the games, though ;) (just better at spotting the true experts)\

against a certain level of player I dont feel I have a lot of edge in the possibilities and calculating the best moves. What wins me games at a certain level is the prediction of movements based on the current game previous games and predicting where the players mind is based on his skill and what has won for him/her
really the least dangerous player to me is working on just the best moves.
once the moves and the placement on the maps are gone I dont have as much information to go on.
For instance, if the player has a lot of africa, and does not hit africa in the opening move, and he sees that he should have... if he has a lot of a continent turn 2 hes likely to hit it.

ok what Im saying is, that there is no record of the opening map or the previous map and transfers. The forum only shows the attacks. So, once i forget the maps of previous turns they are gone for me in deciding this turn.
