Whe I first signed up to GC, I thought $6.99 was a real bargain. For GC, working well, I'd pay $10 - $12. For the GC + that you appear to be rolling out....and the fact that I'm not a huge player, 20 - 25 bucks sounds fair.
For what it's worth.......

I tend to agree with Trib.. Back when it wasn't widely known that Bryan was a jackass, I was among those trying to convince Bryan to raise the price somewhat significantly in exchange for, you know, actual service..
If Bryan had never screwed the pooch and had left GC working the way it was say 1 year ago, where we had tournament names and admins and forums and significantly fewer bugs than now, I would have gladly paid $15 for a 6 month subscription and still felt I was getting a bargain..

Trib, you do realize that was $6.99 for six months, $13.98 for one year. It is now $10.99 for six months or $21.98 per year.
So are you saying you would pay $10-12 for GC for six months and $20-25 for the better site for six months?
And your input is worth a lot friend.

For a working GC, I would pay upwards of $15 for 6 months.
For the vastly superior sgamers site, I would pay up to $40-50 for 6 months for the full slate of games. Although I agree with the concept of having an "a la carte" option in which a person could choose, let's say $15 per game, and once you get to 3 games, you might as well go for the full menu.
Peace, sounds to me like you're building by far the best strategy gaming site on the web.

i'd like some sort of way to earn the cost. i will not pay more than $20 for 6 months. i'm a cheapskate. i'd also like to see rewards for tourneys, like a three month hiatus of cost for winning.
i can imagine that i would probably still stick to one kind of game. we'll see though.

For what it sounds like you are creating, 20 bucks for 6 months would be a steal. I like the previously mentioned idea, however, of a tiered system that allows lighter users to pay a lighter fee. People that use it more, should be willing to pay more.

I would pay up to $40-50 for 6 months for the full slate of games.
I dont even pay that much for my pre-owned xbox games!...and I get to play them till the box dies!..this would be TOTALLY out of my pricerange as a game.
I do not own a credit card...or pay pal. all I have is cash/money orders. for GC running well....if I could pay...I would think 29.99 would be as high as I would go for a year.....if there was monthly payments...it could be something like 6.66 per month (just to be devilish!)...maybe give an unlimited lifetime (or until the site dies) membership for 50-55$.....cause hats getting to be the price of new console games.
maybe even have tournament prizes every now and then....of memberships...or inclusion into higher 'levels' of games/tournaments.
just some ideas from my 'end'. ;)

I believe I mentioned previously my intent to have prizes. At this time the plan is to have monthly, quarterly, and annual tournament victors receiving free game time in various amounts. There may be additional events that credit member accounts and possibly award other prizes. BTW, those prizes will most likely be duplicated for each major game type.
There will be a tiered subscriber pricing system. It goes as follows:
Dirty Bird pays $29.99 for annual membership.
Trib and Seaellem pay $40
Cugel pays $80-$100
But seriously, the pricing figures I've been exploring mesh with what you all have been saying so far. And as multiple good folk have stated a cash/check only policy, I will make that available too.

Peace, sounds to me like you're building by far the best strategy gaming site on the web.
Thanks a bunch Cugel, that is my intention and a key ingredient in that recipe is all of you good folk.

I'd gladly pay any figure . . . as long as you accept IAB's credit card number.
I'd pay $25 bucks for 6 months of a fully functional and improved GC-type game. Hell that works out to less than a buck a week!
dredard- 12-15-2005
Well, if we are using IAB's credit card, I'd gladly pay $6,000.00 every 6 months. And by the sounds of it, Peace's site will be worth every bit of $1,000 per month. (Especially on IAB's Card)
urpola- 12-15-2005
What? Do we all share IAB's credit card?
Is that OK, if i pay $20 to Peace and use rest $5980 to my new car....this is first 6 months
Next summer i need new boat so i'll take contact to you IAB ....after first 6 month
I think you shouldnt think how much we are ready to pay....cause we pay what ever you ask
But you should think how much those new players are ready to pay. If they seek risk like netgames and there is GC which cost $11 and you ask "too " much then they may choose GC (i think GC looks "well" for those who doesnt know whole mess)...i mean if they dont know which kind of "god" is behind GC they maybe try game which is cheap and GC can hooking newbies.
When you game is ready i think you should place link to you game to http://www.mpogd.com/...of course we all praise you site so you get rate 10
