Pick me Sea! I put out!

Facade- 09-06-2007

It's September! News?

cdspro- 09-06-2007

Yes!

I am not gay. I have never been gay!

How 'bout you, you got any news?

dredard- 09-06-2007

Yes,

I'll be gambling and playing golf in Atlantic City on Saturday September 22nd so i'd be glad to meet anyone who will be down there

I'm presently working on a chat element for the site, effectively replacing the somewhat known and thoroughly enjoyed IRC. It will allow separate and private chat rooms. For at least one game, which does allow for clan-like collaboration, I intend to allow private strategizing rooms for these alliances and perhaps private forums as well.

Today I (manually) created 41,209 and 247,254 records, respectively, to begin developing the final major elements of the site. I also created a nearly 13 square foot schematic to aid in this aspect. The document is rumored to be pre-positioned for EBay starting at $10,000, or is that zennies.

I just searched eBay for a "13 square foot schematic". Not there yet...

Then how precisely did you manage to grab an image of it for your avatar, hmm? (with raised inflection at the end of the sentence)

Ok folks, time for a little volunteer work if anyone wishes to lend a helping hand and expedite the launch of the new site.

I have added a forum and a chat component. I would appreciate testers of both, but mainly the chat. Here's the drill for willing participants.

1) Access sgamers.com/index.php
2) Click Create Account on the navigation bar (horizontal) and follow the steps until you see the Play Now button. Click it.
3) Log in with your account name and password.
4) Click Community on the navigation bar (horizontal). This takes you to the forum.
5) Click Chat on the navigation bar to open the chat component. This launches chat.

I'll not give any instructions on using the forum or chat as I want to ascertain how well they are received.

What I'm looking for is mostly in the realm of bugs, things that don't seem to work and problems of any nature. If you encounter any, please provide details so that I can re-create and attempt to fix them. You are permitted to attempt to circumnavigate the security to access otherwise off limits functions and content, however please do not attempt to do anything that would be destructive, altering files and such. Please let me know in precise detail what exploits you've found and exactly how you went about enacting them. General comments about appearance and functionality are also appreciated.

Note, testing the chat will work best only if multiple people are on at the same time to actually hold a chat session.

Please post your findings in the appropriate sgamers forums (Chat Function, Forum Function), not this forum.

A thousand thanks to all who can lend a hand.
Peace.

P.S. for the five folks who have already found their way in (heh) you can of course use your existing accounts.

And for you technological types, I refer you again to my 5-point instructions that indicate first registering an account before attempting to use the chat. But hey, if someone is able to chat without creating an account on my site, please let me know of the enormous security whole.

Silly silly technoellem. ;)

I'm having issues.

1. I can't stay logged in
2. I can't load anything fully it seems

I tried to post a message, but I only had 1.5 text boxes that would load, and before that, I was loading the page for 3 hours, and only got about the top inch of it to load. And even tho I have speeds of 5kbps out here, I still think it should load in that time. I seemed to log off going from the page you go to after logging in to clicking on the home link.

glazed right over it because there was no clickable link

Not creating a link was a purposeful test of users skill. I associate copy-paste with rudimentary computer/Internet knowledge.

seaellem- 09-14-2007

and conversely, i believe the same of creating links for users. *grin*
